HCBA Mentors and Swarm Removal
The Haywood County Bee Association (HCBA) has qualified members who can remove “honey bee-swarms” from your home or property and relocate them. Contact one of the members on the Swarms and Mentors list who is closet to your location and make arrangements for the removal of the honeybees. This service is “free-of-charge” to the property owner, however, the Swarm Removal Team (SRT) member gets to keep all collected honey bees. Other species of bees may be relocated to a remote area, at the discretion of the team member.
Please note that our swarm removal team ONLY removes honey bees and NOT Hornets, Yellowjackets, Wasps, etc., as these insects must usually be eradicated.
HCBA graciously accepts donations that can assist us with furthering the advancement of “Bee Education” throughout Haywood County.

HCBA Mentor’s - is designed to offer assistance to any beekeeper in the club, however, it is specifically focused on helping “new beekeepers” to understand beekeeping and how to establish and maintain their colonies. Each mentor is available to work hand-in-hand with the new beekeeper and guide them through the various processes of establishing their “apiary.” HCBA members on the above list have offered to donate their services towards helping new members establish or maintain bee colonies. They are grouped by their location and are readily available.
